It's crazy how things can change as time goes on. When I first started losing weight, I didn't care what I wore to the gym. Give me some baggy sweat pants and an overly sized shirt so I can pretty much hide my body and call it a day. But now as I get more into fitness and running, I love having cuter workout gear. Case in point, I was so excited that Old Navy was having a 30% off sale today for the entire store because I picked up two workout outfits. Matching and all. I love them. Especially the Run Rest Repeat shirt!
I had an awesome salad for lunch today from this place called Designer Greens. It gave me life. They have thee BEST salad!

Eating eggs in ways I never would have imagined.
I finished the workouts for week 2 of Livefit. Three days of rest is ahead. These past two weeks have been a breeze. When I'm lucky, the workouts take less than 40 minutes and I've been enjoying doing them because I've never really used machines at a gym. Next week begins five days of working out, as well as the folowing week. Phase two is when the fun really stops because my workouts will go to 6 days a week and I will be incorporating cardio back into my routines. Oh running I am coming back strong for you.
I have been eating eggs so much the past 11 days. Every morning because of livefit, I have about 5 large egg whites. I have made omelets, scramble eggs, and egg white oatmeal pancakes so far.
Look at those calves above.

Workout Wednesday: Sexy, Sultry Legs!
Today is day 10 of Livefit and it's a leg day!
I love leg days because my legs are one of my favorite parts of my body.
So I love working them out and getting them sculpted so I can put on my favorite short shorts
or cute summer dress. I have grown to love shorts so much!
Besides I need strong legs to push me through all of my runs.
I won't be doing this particular workout today but I can tell it's definitely one to help tone and strenghten all the different aspects of your legs! Enjoy the burn!
What is your favorite body part to workout?
Least favorite?

Apparently I'm a danger to myself.
I am learning that I need more recipes. I keep eating the same things over and over again. I can be so lazy but I want new healthier eats. Eating the same ol, same ol makes me have unhealthy cravings like for I don't know - french fries or something gooey like a cupcake. Then I will really feel like a busted can of biscuits.
I am also too lazy to go to the grocery store because honestly I kind of sort hate grocery shopping. I really wish I could get it delivered. It would be so much more easier on my wonderful life. So yeah being lazy meant I had to really think about what I wanted to eat for dinner because I'm pretty much low on things that make me saw ohhhh. But long and behold I decided on a stirfry. I had some zucchini, squash, and okra in the fridge and then remembered I also brought one white potato the other day just to have.
So I whipped up this goodness.

TIP for tat: Detoxing after a holiday!
Just want to say thank you for all those that have served, are serving, and will serve my country. What you do is truly appreciated. Thank you for you courage, strength, and dedication.
Happy (Belated?) Memorial Day!
So Memorial Day, like most holiday's consists of BBQing and eating and possibly drinking a good amount of things that you normally don't. Unfortunately (or is it fortunately) I didn't this year but I'm sure a lot of folks did So what does that call for? A DETOX!
A quick 1 day detox is all you really need to help your body flush out those BBQ ribs, mac&cheese, corn bread, etc toxins. & by the way, I'm so jealous. I love ribs.

I used the shower at my gym.
So for the first time ever, I used the showers at my gym. Never had I ever but it wasn't bad. Then afterwards I saw like 3 naked women in the span of 5 minutes. Interesting.
Pre-shower I spent twenty minutes in the sauna. It was uncomfortably relaxing.
Post shower I went and got me a low fat mango smoothie from Panera Bread. It was awesome sauce. Then it was time to head out for a little retail therapy.

Don't you just hate...
Good morning bombshells and gentlemen! Happy Saturday! Happy 3 day weekend for most!
Last night I decided to use my bestie, google, to look up some alternative toppings for pancakes other than the dangerous high fructose corn syrup ones Aunt Jemima and 'nem be throwing in my face at the grocery store. I know there's Agave, and honey, and even the coconut nectar I had but I wanted to know all my options. Well I came across a few I want to try, like homemade blueberry syrup and most importantly applesauce. When I saw that option it intrigued me. Blew my mind a little. Applesauce on top of pancakes. Things that make you go hmmmmm.

Fresh Friday!!
These are the top THREE things that made my week
FRESH & FANTASTIC!
#1 Starting a new workout regime / plan - A new workout program is always exciting and fresh. I started back going to an actual fitness center which is refreshing in itself and I am already enjoying LiveFit Trainer and have completed my workouts for this week.
#2 Trying a new recipe and enjoying it - I made egg white oatmeal pancakes for the first time this week and they were good! Definitely a new staple for my tummy to get good nutrients!
#3 Joining a new community full of like minded individuals - I found out yesterday that I am officially a Sweat Pink Ambassador. So awesome because I love meeting and being surrounded by fitness enthusiasts like myself. "Sweat Pink Ambassadors live the Fit Approach mission every day: they sweat hard, play hard, and inspire those around them to achieve their best selves."

Is this a 3 day weekend for you? Will you be eating well on Monday?
Me not so much. Just a bunch of homework.

Egg white oatmeal pancakes! Simple and yummy!
My chair massage today gave me life. The focus was on my neck. Lately my neck has been bothering me and it's probably because I stare at a computer screen 90% of my waking hours. Blasphemy.
After my massage, I used my hour lunch break to go to the gym and knock out my final workout of the week. Livefit week 1 pretty much complete on the workout tip. Still have to continue to eat healthy and I plan on having active rest days. By active I mean not laying on the couch stuffing my face 24/7.
Tomorrow and saturday I think I am going to do yoga and flexibility stretches. I really want to do a split one day. Like really. It's a goal.

Chair massages, rice krispy treats & Zucchini Turkey burgers!!
Anywho that’s what I did for a couple hours today. Between work, and homework, and working out, and trying to relax a bit. Whew, my life is too much for me. Case in point. Up until this morning, I thought memorial day was the following Monday, not this Monday. Imagine my surprise had I not figured this out today and ended up at work on Monday. Talk about pissed.

TIP for tac: Be consistent !
It's TIP Tuesday!!
The quote above says it all. Consistency isn't perfection.
It's putting your best foot forward and not giving up on yourself.
When it comes to getting fit and getting healthy, consistency is key.
If you're not consistent, then I don't think you can be successful.
Inconsistency will not deliver results.
Even The Rock agrees.

LiveFit Trainer - Let's get it started!
Happy Monday Lovelies!
I start the Jamie Eason's LiveFit Trainer 12 week program today.
It involves 3 phases.
Phase 1 is 4 weeks and involves ONLY weight training.
How am I going to survive?
I'm a cardio head.
Well a runner.
So we shall see.
4 weeks - no cardio.
How should this work?
Plus eating more.
Not going to mind that much
but just have to get in my mindset that more HEALTHY food is better.
It's fuel.

Citrus Detox?!
Hey folks - again!
Two posts in one night, told ya I was back.
So I know I said I was detoxing this past week.
& Tuesday - Thursday I pretty much did
But then I fell off the train and decided my body needed more protein
and maybe a few snacks as well.
Don't judge me.
Anywho, after the cruise I felt so BLOATED
but now I feel much better.
I don't know if it's the overload of citrus I've been eating (grapefruit, oranges and mandarins)
or just that I've been back to my healthy eating
and much much much less sugar.
No crazy sugar cravings either!

Vacation photo dump & back to reality :-/
Happy Tuesday!
Missed me?
Hope so!
I'm finally getting back to reality.
My cruise was awesome.
The wedding was full of love.
My vacation was everything I imagined.
Awesomesauce to the fullest.
But now I need to get back on track.
My second semester of grad school started yesterday.
I haven't cracked open a book so I'm already behind :-/.
I am back at work today.
Bahh humbug but thank God for my job!
I need to work on my May goal of organization!
Then there's my eating....
Especially with my eating.
I FEEL like I've gained 15lbs while on vacay.
I LOOK like I gained probably about 7lbs.
I refuse to weigh myself.
I will wait until June when I feel like I'm back to my post vacay weight.
Today I will begin my detox.
It will go until Sunday.
On Monday I will begin the LiveFit program.
My detox is going to be a citrus detox that my BF suggested.
It's a detox full of citrus fruits (i.e. oranges, grapefruits, lemons, limes, pineapples)
Then I am adding in lots of veggies as well.
I need to rid my body of those terrible toxins that I ingested (and enjoyed too much) these past 11 days.
I don't regret any but I am ready to get rid of them and get my body back on the right path.
Healthy is happy.
Anywho, here's some photo's from my vacation!
Enjoy!

April Favorites & Hello May.
It's scary how fast these months fly on by.
Wasn't it JUST March.
I always say that every month because it is scary how the days just disappear.
Here are some of my favorite things from April
besides the normal things like spending time with my loves!
besides the normal things like spending time with my loves!
Running in my 2nd 10K and placing 1st in my age group!
Trying a new type of workout. TRX!
Not weighing myself weekly. It was hard but neccessary. I'm in Scale rehab.
WIAW: Chocolate Swirl Banana Bread.
What I Ate Wednesday?!
A little bit of this and that.

Here are a few things I ate these past few days.
Better late than never. 8 months to go.
Chobani 10 for 10
remix.
8 for 8 !
So I found out about the Chobani 10 for 10 challenge on Cori's blog, Olive to Run.
It's something that definitely intrigued me.
I suck at sticking to goals that I make
and at 25 years of age, I need to do better
if I want better for my life in general.
So with that said I'm joining the Chobani challenge.
A little late in the game but hey it's better than not challenging myself.
May: Get more organized && Run Less Strength Train more.
I need to start getting into the habit of organization.
I'm one of those, I need a schedule and to do list to actually get things done.
Without it, I'm all over the place.
I need to schedule out time to eat, sleep, poop (okay not really), workout, do homework, blog, read, write, and relax.
