I like laying on the floor.

My run yesterday morning killed my soul. The heat. My goodness this florida heat. I was suppose to wake up at 7 and head out by 7:30 but sleep was so good so I didn't head out until 8:45. A 30 min run took an hour o_O. I had issues with my phone and so others things that just made it take forever. Is it just me but once I get into the house after a hard run the floor is the only place I want to lay!

Side note: My new MP3 headphone is awesome but it sucks right now because I don't have a GPS watch yet (taking suggestions) so I use my phone to track my distance and for purposes of sprints and such. So I had to run with one ear in and one ear out so I knew when it was time to sprint and time to rest. Now I kind of sorta wish I would have gotten Bluetooth headphones instead of these. I love it though. Just saying it would make using my phone easier.

After my run yesterday I had a really good breakfast. Egg white oatmeal pancakes to the rescue!

On my lunch break I manage to squeeze in a modified version of my livefit workout. It was my first time back working out since Friday. I wasn't able to make it to LA Fitness so I had to settle for my complex gym (which is getting renovated next week so hopefully some awesome new machines) and that meant I had to compromise but not much and my workout was good. I even made a video. Don't judge me looking a mess. Or they crazy faces I was making.

Today's Livefit Trainer workout I'll be rounding my shoulders, firming-up triceps and sculpting calves.
I love my shoulders. They're the first thing I really noticed definition in. I can't lift much weight with them but obvious it's not needed. :) Here's an awesome shoulder + cardio workout I found on Pinterest and thought I'd share.

My back is feeling better. I still used my heated back wrap last night just in case but I think that was the last night :) Hopefully!

What's your workout consist of today?
Do you like laying out on the floor after a hard workout?

  1. Hi- found you from the link up!

I am also struggling BIG TIME in this heat here in the South(Im in TN) and my last few runs have made me question myself as a runner!

I use a Garmin Forerunner 110. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! It tracks distance, pace, time and even calorie burn. It comes with a soft chest strap that monitors your heart rate and can also be used indoors for your gym or home workouts:)

    1. lol @ question yourself as a runner! Only thing that makes it easier to endure is that the more I push myself in the summer the easier my runs will be come cooler weather! I will have to look into the GF110!

  3. 7:30 would be way too late for me (also in Florida). I'm generally up for my runs at 5:45 and out the door no later than 6:15. Makes all the difference in the world.

I don't love the floor. However, I could spend forever in a scalding shower after a brutal workout.

My Garmin Forerunner 10 is great. It annoys me in the summer (I don't like anything on my wrists when I'm hot), but it's great.

    1. I wish I could force myself out of the bed earlier but that usually only happens on saturdays when I do my group runs lol. It's so hard bc I usually don't take my butt to bed until after 11 so yeah 7 is usually the earliest and then I have to suck up the heat! Will def look into the GF10!
