I am pretty sure I was luckily enough to come across Jessi's blog through one of the link ups and I was amazed by her transformation that started this year! She looks amazing, is inspiring, and still pushing to reach other fitness goals!
Here's a little Q&A with Jessi..
Height: 5'6
Highest Weight: 230's/240's. When i actually began keeping track on 1-1-13: 228
Current Weight: 163
What factors contributed to the weight gain? College, fast food, depression, lack of exercise, and complacency.
What motivated you to lose the weight? I was tired of looking in the mirror and crying because of how much I hated the reflection. I knew that that wasn't me and I was capable of so much more.
How long did it take you to lose the weight? I began my lifestyle change on 1-1-13 and am still going strong!
What are your eating habits like now and then? Are you vegan or paleo or anything or do you just eat clean? I mainly eat clean. I don't eat red meat or white breads/flour/grains or pasta really. I eat lots of fresh organic produce. I try to avoid a lot of processed foods, but I still eat some, mainly Greek yogurt, cheese, protein bars, skinny cow items.
What do you do now to maintain and/or continue your weight loss? I watch what I eat and eat as healthy as I can and work out daily. It's about progress not perfection!
What is your ultimate or current fitness goal? I like to set small goals so I don't get discouraged. My next one is to hit 153, which will be 75lbs lost. Physically though my goal is to continue to tone up as best as I can my lower tummy, especially my loose skin.
Were any weight loss aids (i.e surgeries, pills, herbalife, etc) used to assist in your journey to a better you? I've always taken probiotics and fish oil, just recently I started the advocare 10 day cleanse and am drinking their spark energy drink. After the cleanse i'll be starting their MNS MAX3 supplement for 14 days. These are all to aid in the toning of the stomach area. I also have eas soy protein powder on hand for days when I need it.
Do you have a quote, mantra, or something that you live by?
"Actually I just woke up one day and decided I didn't want to fell this way anymore or ever, so I changed, just like that."
"Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't I give myself reason why I can."
Also... I always remind myself to do things that my future self will be thankful for.

Anything else you may want to add about your journey feel free to do so!
Weight loss isn't easy it takes dedication and hard work. After all you didn't put it all on over night so why would you lose it over night?! Be patient and take pictures, you'll be glad you did.
I know Jessi has and will continue to inspire others with her story and as she continues her journey. Thank you for allowing me to feature you as this week's Bombshell!
