Men are from Mars. Girls are from NARS!

Hey lovelies! I am back from Los Angelos  (ok I've been back for like 10 days now) and I had a fabulous birthday weekend!! I did some exploring, felt the magic at Disney, and of course did a teeny bit of shopping. I went to NARS! If you're not a beauty / makeup head then you probably have no clue what I'm talking about but if you are then you know NARS is a makeup company similiar to MAC and others. Well I was pretty excited to go because I've been wanting to try their products! So I walked into the store just as they were opening and was greeted by an awesome woman - Allison. She was great. I told her what I was looking for (tinted moisturizer) and she sat me down and did my makeup flawlessly. I ended up walking out with primer, tinted moisturizer, blush, an eyeliner, and two lip products. I look forward to working with Allison again (I wish in person) because unlike when I've gone to other makeup stores, I didn't feel pressured to buy everything she put on my face. I told her my budget and she helped me stick within it. She was awesome. I can't say it enough. If you're in LA. Go to NARS on Melrose and ask for her! Anywho here's all my goodies:

I got the tinted moisturizer in Polynesian! 

I loved this eyeliner as soon as she put it on me! Had to get it!

I've been needing a primer for way too long!

Of course I can't go get makeup and not get new lippies. 
I adore these lip pencils in Cruella (matt finish) and Palais Royal (satin finish)!

This blush is to die for! It's in the color Exhibit A. I swear it gives me a natural flush!

& because Allison is so stinkin' awesome - she gave me a couple samples. One is makeup removing water and the other is an oil free moisturizer.

There was a few other things she tried on me that I really liked but outside my budget so I definitely will be contacting her soon to get those things. Anywho, really happy about my first Nars purchases :)!

Beauty Wishlist.

I wish. I wish. I wish.

Okay so every since I've decided to "play with" makeup more, I've been spending way too much money. It's even so bad that I am afraid to go into stores that sell beauty products for fear of excess spending. YES, it's that bad. I am developing a problem and I must stop it because it's too late. I need to get back to budgeting my money, especially since I'm about to not get paid for two weeks (while on my 5 week vacation) so overspending is not the best thing to be doing right about now. So what must I do about it? Create myself a beauty wishlist. On this list I will list all the makeup and beauty products I want. Then every pay period I'm allowed to spend a certain amount of money (thinking $30 - $50 depending on how I budget things) on things I want off that list. I think this will 1) keep me discipline and 2) allow me to walk inside CVS on even given day. So I will be building my list. What's on it so far you ask? Well.

The list will continue to grow because I stay watching Youtube videos and ALWAYS see something I want to try. Why did I decide to play with makeup? This is an expensive toy.
