Wii Fit U Challenge!

In November I was contacted by Justine from Brand About Town to participate in a Wii Fit U 30 day Challenge. Now some may or may not know this but the Nintendo Wii original Wii Fit is how I started my fitness journey in 2010. I was 260+ lbs and I felt that it was perfect for me and a great way to get started towards a healthier you. It worked for me then so I was happy to accept this challenge. The amazing people at Nintendo then sent me all I needed to get started. Talk about a great Christmas present.

Here's the three things I LOVE so far about Wii Fit U!

  • The Camera on the gamepad. It allows you to be able to see yourself as you workout. It's absolutely genius. Let's not talk about my tummy!

  • The fit meter! I love it! I just clip it on me and it records my steps like an awesome pedometer!

  • The gamepad. I just love it. I love how I can look at it to do the workouts or at the TV.
We have "trainers" who came up with custom routines pretty specific to what our fitness goals are. My goals were: Losing 10 – 20 pounds and toning up my back, abs and thighs. Here are my two routines.

Routine 1 – 35 minutes/73 calories
1.     Push-up and Side Plank
2.     Plank

7.     Single-Arm Stand
8.     Torso Twists

10.  Side Lunge
11.  Free Boxing (Duration: 5 minutes)
12.  Orienteering
13.  Burning Beats (Duration: 5 minutes)

Happy New Year! Exciting news… :)

First and foremost….

Well I have some BIG (at least it's big to me) NEWS to share with you all. I know I've been MIA all of last month but unfortunate circumstances caused me to have to take some time off but it's a new year and I'm pushing through and getting my life back in order. So with that said, what's my big big news….

I'm a Nuun Ambassador for 2014!!!

I'm really excited to be an Ambassador for Nuun! I LOVE their product and was so happy when the opportunity presented itself and I was chosen!! Don't know what Nuun [pronounced Noon] is? It's an awesome sports drink tab! You take these tabs and drop one into your water and BAM you have a sports drink filled with electrolytes without all the sugar! For more info about Nuun check out their site.

What's in my bottle?! Nuun of course!

Now onto other things. Today begins my 90 day new body makeover challenge with Cassey over at Blogilates. I was suppose to start on December 1st but unfortunate situation made me have to start with the January 1st date. So I'm ready. I went grocery shopping over the last two days and will be food prepping for the rest of the week today!

I cleaned out my kitchen. No junk anywhere. Okay well there's the two mini ice creams in my freezer but trust me I'm not a huge ice cream fan so they should be safe. I have SOME will power.

Along with Blogilates 90 day challenge, I'm also doing a 30 day Wii Fit U challenge.
More on that later.

Then if it's not enough. I also have some serious running to do.
I haven't really run since my last half on November 24th.
I ran once since then at the Marathon Relay I did on December 8th.
But other than that. No running.
This sucks because I am scheduled to do my next half marathon in less then 6 weeks.
Pray for me.

So yes my New Year is starting out pretty intensely with my workout schedule but I am determined to finally - FINALLY - reach my goal weight range. I can't be half assing it. I must push myself beyond its limits and not give into MUCH temptation.
I'm human a couple YOLO meals hear and there won't kill me.
But I must must must stay focus during these next 90 days.

Besides all the fitness stuff. I'm also challenging myself to be a better me.
I will start reading this book today:

Becoming the Woman I Want to Be: A 90-Day Journey to Renewing Spirit, Soul & Body

I'm excited about this journey!

This was a much longer post then intended but I have some catching up to do.

I missed you all.
Hope my readers are still there!!
Wishing you all a blessed and amazing 2014!!

xoxo, Preshii
