Impulse decisions for the win!

Yesterday I woke up, did my Livefit Trainer workout,  and then impulsively decided that that might be my last official LFT workout. Crazy because the workouts this past week were actually - dare I say it - fun and quick. My workouts the last 3 days (including 35 mins of cardio, bathroom breaks, and stretching) took me less than 1hour and 20 mins. The weight training took about 35 - 45 mins. I loved it! But let's be honest, I have lost my mojo for this program. I'm only trying to finish it in whole to prove to myself I can finish a program but honestly I'm only 60% into it these days - if that! I'm ready for my next fitness chapter. My half marathon training.

That was suppose to begin next Monday, the 19th. But I decided yesterday I am beginning it TODAY! I found the program I'm going to use on FitSugar. It's a beginner Half Marathon training program and the longest run goes up to 12 miles just like I wanted!

I think starting a week early will be beneficial because then I have a bit more flexibility if something happens where I miss a long run or feel like I need to take a few extra rest days or just want to redo a week of the training.  Another good thing, with me starting this week, my 6 mile long run will fall on the same weekend as my upcoming 10K at the Black Girls Run! Sweat With Your Sole Conference.

I'm a bit nervous about this 10K to be honest. After coming back to running - after taking off those 6 weeks of running because of my vacation and Livefit Trainer phase 1 - I've only done one "long run" and it was 5 miles and that was in early July I believe sooooo yeah since then I've really only been doing 3 miles at most. Therefore I need to prepare for this 10K.  Then to add on to my nervousness, the run is in North Carolina which equates to the route has a few hills. I don't really run hills because there's not really any near me. So this will be a challenge. Bring it on though!

I know I said - just a few paragraphs ago - that I was done with LFT but I am still going to do the strength workouts for this week. LOL. Yeah I know I'm indecisive. But it's without all the added pressure and I not really going to fully finish carb cycling. I don't like carb cycling. Too much thinking lol. Is this a carb, is that a carb, ugh - I'm too lazy for that.

I will do a full update on my LFT experience next week. After I weigh myself and take my measurements and such. I'm not excited for it.
