Yesterday I woke up, did my Livefit Trainer workout, and then impulsively decided that that might be my last official LFT workout. Crazy because the workouts this past week were actually - dare I say it - fun and quick. My workouts the last 3 days (including 35 mins of cardio, bathroom breaks, and stretching) took me less than 1hour and 20 mins. The weight training took about 35 - 45 mins. I loved it! But let's be honest, I have lost my mojo for this program. I'm only trying to finish it in whole to prove to myself I can finish a program but honestly I'm only 60% into it these days - if that! I'm ready for my next fitness chapter. My half marathon training.

Carb Cycling - Oh the joy.
The last three weeks of Livefit Trainer involves carb cycling.
Carb cycling takes the macronutrients (the proteins, fats and carbs) of your meals and manipulates them to reduce body fat to very low levels, with as little muscle cannibalization as possible.
Here's the theory: Because carbs are the body's preferred source of fuel, cycling those carbs - eating lower amounts some days, higher amounts other days - confuses the body by not giving it a constant and dependable fuel source. When we reduce the intake of carbs on lower carb days, we'll replace those calories with protein and healthy fats. That way you'll have an adequate number of calories and maintain as much muscle as possible as you continue to exercise.

I like laying on the floor.
My run yesterday morning killed my soul. The heat. My goodness this florida heat. I was suppose to wake up at 7 and head out by 7:30 but sleep was so good so I didn't head out until 8:45. A 30 min run took an hour o_O. I had issues with my phone and so others things that just made it take forever. Is it just me but once I get into the house after a hard run the floor is the only place I want to lay!

Beauty isn't measured in pounds.
I can breath until tomorrow. I finished my pretty much 7 part homework that was due tonight this afternoon. Thank you God! Now I have a break until.... tomorrow? Yeah not long. I'm kind of way behind in my other class. Sigh Sigh Sigh.
I did take a few breaks here and there this weekend. I had a nice workout on Saturday and decided to go into the Sauna at the end to help soothe and relax my sore, tense, muscles from the weeks workout. Well let me tell you, they had that Sauna set to fry. I was burning up. I usually stay for 15 minutes but I couldn't make it past 8.

Livefit Trainer - Phase 1 - Review.
I made it! Let me pat myself on the back. Me finishing 1/3 of a fitness program.... go me! So let's get down to the nitty gritty.
The What?
Livefit Trainer is a program created by fitness model Jamie Eason and (according to Jamie Eason herself) "is a simple 3-phase program for transforming your body and your life in 12 short weeks. My science-based approach combines exercise, nutrition, and supplementation for results that far exceed what any of those tools could produce on their own. Better yet, you'll leave this program knowing how to pursue the fit lifestyle even without my guidance!"

I had to share this workout guide.
Phase 2 of Livefit Trainer has started.
I really have to get use to these extra long workouts. As well as lifting more weight and sometimes doing more sets. But hey I want the body I always dreamed of so I have to work for it. No short cuts. Today I will be working on my legs.

Chobani & I are officially BFFs.
You heard it here first. I love me some CHO and last week I received a shipment complimentary of Chobani. That makes us friends. They are so great when it comes to supporting the health and fitness community. So far I've added my CHO in smoothies, and as a topping between my egg white oatmeal pancakes. Talk about amazing. I have a few more things I plan to do with my CHO like banana bread. Nom Nom Nom. Stay tune. Oh and to to add icing on our friendship, they followed me on Pinterest. Yup BFFs.
TIP for tat Tuesday.

Happy Father's Day!
to the fathers, the daddies, those acting as fathers, those playing both roles as mother & father. You are appreciated.

I had a great Saturday. A little bit of yoga, a little bit of love, a little bit of ice cream.. all so much fun.
On Friday, I finished my last workout of Livefit Trainer Phase 1. 1 phase down, 2 more to go.
I worked my shoulders and abs hard on Friday too.
I mean it may had something to do with the fact that I knew I was having pizza last night. Yeah see Pizza hut had this deal. Large pizza for $5.55 to celebrate their anniversary. Now c'mon. I'm not saying no to that. So I planned a movie and pizza night for me and le boyfriend. It was great. I convinced him to watch Spirit of the Marathon with me. I hadn't heard about this movie until a couple weeks ago when someone told me about the 2nd one that premiered for one night only on Wednesday. I wasn't able to go but was told the 1st one was on Netflix. So I had to check it out. Can you say inspiring and awesome! I can't wait to cross that finish line one day and become a marathoner. Ahhh I can taste it.

I like working the pole for free.
I like to pole dance. Not like for money. Unless I mean if it's being offered maybe but for fitness. It's really a fun and HARD workout. After I did my first pole dancing class way back when I had a whole new respect for strippers. The amount of upper body strength required is ridiculous and the amount of bruises you will receive is crazy. I was sore in places unimaginable. o_O. Anywho, I love it and next friday one of my favorite Pole Dancing studios is having a Msaquerade themed girls night. I want to go but don't know if I will. It's only 15 bucks and includes a free drink, little snacks, and a chair and pole dancing classes. I've gone to one of these events like this before and it's so much fun! Some of these ladies actually come in lingerie. But if you've never been pole dancing, you should know, the less

No eating after 8:30 will be hard.
The half way mark. We are almost at the half way mark. At the end of this month officially half of the year will be gone. Crazy speak I tell you. So with a new month comes a new goal(s) and new challenge(s). As some of you may know, I joined in on the Chobani challenge and made goals for the rest of my year.
My May goal was to get more organized and to run less, strength train more. Goals accomplished for the most part. I did not run at all last month and I have been strength training much more thanks to Livefit Trainer. As far as organization, I'm getting there. Slowly but surely trying to make a to do list for each day and complete it. It's hard work sticking to it but I am trying to dedicate myself to it more. So this goal will go over into June. My june goals was as follows:

Eating eggs in ways I never would have imagined.
I finished the workouts for week 2 of Livefit. Three days of rest is ahead. These past two weeks have been a breeze. When I'm lucky, the workouts take less than 40 minutes and I've been enjoying doing them because I've never really used machines at a gym. Next week begins five days of working out, as well as the folowing week. Phase two is when the fun really stops because my workouts will go to 6 days a week and I will be incorporating cardio back into my routines. Oh running I am coming back strong for you.
I have been eating eggs so much the past 11 days. Every morning because of livefit, I have about 5 large egg whites. I have made omelets, scramble eggs, and egg white oatmeal pancakes so far.
Look at those calves above.
