We are Strong. We are united. We will not run in fear.

I am so moved by seeing all the blog post and news stories
about how people (especially my fellow runners)
are reacting positively (through their anger and hurt)
to what happened yesterday at the Boston Marathon.

As a runner, I refuse to fear my sport.
I refuse to not ever run again.
I refuse to let a terrorist dictate my life.
My happiness. My love for running.
So how will we fight back as runners?
We will run.

TRX - I survived!

Recap from yesterday morning workout!

Actually, once I caught my breath I did indeed feel great!
I really enjoyed the workout.
I think it more so had to do with the fact that I was surrounded by my lovely sisters in running BGR.
& the coach, Jamie, was amazing. She is so awesome. Crazy lil Asian woman.
We had to do 3 rounds of the workout.
It involved you and a partner and you move from station to station.
It was about 10 stations.
Each station had two different workouts.
One focused more on strength - i.e. plank or pistol squats.
While the other was more cardio - burpees, body weight jumps, etc.
Each person would do each exercise for 30 seconds,
15 sec break (or time to switch to next exercise or station)
then do next exercise for 30 seconds.
After each round we got a 2 min break.
Thank you Jesus.
I enjoyed it.
I pushed myself like I said I would.
30 seconds is so long when you're doing some crazy cardio workout.
Or holding a plank with half your body off the floor.
Insane.
I can't wait to go back though.
I actually would love to have a trainer like Jamie.
She seems so awesome and hardcore & I love it!
She even gave us some great advice at the end for us runners.
I learned about Chia Seeds and can't wait to get some.
How I can use a lacrosse ball for mini massages (going to buy one today!)
& a little trick to fuel my body for humid runs
(which I forgot so I need to reach out to her again for it lol).
Favorite quote from yesterday:
"If you're shaking - GOOOOD!"

Here are some pics from yesterday:

she was pushing me and making me laugh!
