Last week I went on a "vacation". It wasn't a full vacation because I was still working but I was not at home and in other states and that kind of deems a vacation. I went to DMV area and had a good time and some really great eats. I didn't eat terribly but it wasn't totally healthy either.
This was probably the best salmon I've had in a really long time. It was from Chili's and it was so so good. Highly recommend it if you're at Chili's and want a healthy delicious eat!
I had a thing for breakfast sandwiches. This one with turkey bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel. Yummy!
I also have a thing for Spicy blackbean burgers. I mean I haven't ever had one I didn't like. This one came with fresh salsa and guacamole. A yummy salad was also included on the side.
I also got a coooooookkkkiiieeee. So so good. Hadn't had a chocolate chip cookie in so long!
Crabcake with mash potatoes and a couple spears of asparagus. It was good!
Some really good wings from this place called Hell's Kitchen. Isn't the name just the coolest thing? These were Zesty BBQ flavored. Enjoyed them!
My last meal in VA. It was amazing. A tortilla burger with fruit on the side. Also got a salad. Only ate a few bites of the garlic bread because I already knew I was going to murder the sandwich!
First night in Maryland/DC! I went against my picky ways and tried something new. A vegetable quesadilla. It was really good! So happy I tried something new.
So anyone a fan of Man vs Food show? Well if not, it's a show about this man who travels around the world and goes to these awesome food spots. He went here in DC (Horace and Dickies) and I had to try it! I'm not even a big fried fish person but it looked so good. So me and Reecie went and it was good! That is one fish sandwich in my picture. The fish are so big you can't see the bread. No worries we shared it and basically ate off it twice that day. One sandwich is kind of enough for a family lol.
Next stop was also a "famous" spot. Georgetown Cupcake or as many of you may know it as the cupcake place from the show DC Cupcakes! We waited in line for 30 minutes! 3 for me (Key lime pie, Banana split, and red velvet) and 3 for Jay (2 red velvet and a Vanilla bday). I enjoyed my 3. I ate one each day since I got them. All gone now :(. I like that they were "normal" size and not large like most cupcake shops so I didn't feel bad eating a whole cupcake in one setting :)!
I love sushi so that night we went out for sushi (and it was kind of a disappointment - the sushi part). We got gyoza, calamari, and sushi. The gyoza and calamari was yummy! The sushi I got was okay and I felt like the restaurant jips you. That little bit of sushi was $7 for a california roll. Boooo you whore.
I also had a few drinks that night .
My "vacay" commenced with a delicious ham and cheese croissant from a Sunday farmers market!
