1 year. 1 month. & 2 days later…

It's been a little over a year since I started my blog. 1 year. 1 month. 2 days - but who is counting?

It's been a good year, not great but good nonetheless. I've enjoyed having this outlet and hopefully I have been an inspiration to a few. I have love being apart of the wonderful blogger community! I have met (through the internet) such wonderful, inspiring, motivating individuals who I hope to one day meet in person! I have also been granted great opportunities that have allowed me to be brand ambassadors for amazing brands like Nuun! I love being apart of the Sweat Pink, I Am Fit Possible, and IDEA Inspire Blogger communities and hope that I have represented them all well.

Overall I am thankful. Thankful for each and every person that has took the time to read my blog in whatever form. Thankful for all my fellow blogger buddies! Thankful for all the opportunities I have had. Thankful for every single moment of this journey.

I am looking forward to this next year being even better. I'm hoping to grow my blog and my own personal brand. I hope to continue to inspire and continue to be as transparent as possible on this blog. Most importantly I hope to be able to figure out a set blogging schedule! This is one of my downfalls by far. Me and organization mixed with procrastination and laziness is a big killer for getting things done but I definitely am working on it! I also want to revamp my blog. It's time for a makeover! I just need someone else to do it :)

My top 11 FAV post from my first year of blogging:

For my "experienced" bloggers - experience meaning having blogged longer then a year - what tips do you have for me to continue to grow as a blogger?

My word is: Adventure.

Last year someone told me to create a word that I want to define my year. My word in 2013 was fearless. This year my word is Adventure. What is your word?

Adventure to me means doing things outside of my comfort zone.
Challenging myself.
Taking chances.
Traveling more.
Living life to it's fullest.
Being adventurous.

I've already made one step towards this. In June I will be traveling abroad for an entire month. Doing a Grand Tour of Europe. I am so excited for this trip. This journey. I know it will be an amazing experience and full of ADVENTURE!

Something else I am doing is self studying korean.
Learning is always an adventure!
I have become very interested in the Korean Culture!
Learning Korean, watching Korean Drama's, etc.
I even got Jay doing it too :).

On my list to do - learn how to swim.
I can't swim guys.
I grew up 15 minutes from a beach and I can't swim.
I love water; the ocean.
But I can't swim.
One day I might want to do a Tri.
So I need to learn how to swim!!!

Something else that will involve adventure - Getting out of Florida.
I'm a Floridian. Born and raised.
Miami to Orlando.
I am ready to experience something different.
Preferably a city with all four seasons.
Is that too much to ask???

Finding my inner peace and becoming more flexible.
I want to start doing yoga more.
At least once a week.
I know that's not much but you have to start somewhere.

So what's your word for 2014?

& it only gets HOTTER!

When I think of August I think HOT.
Like oh gawd, I thought July was HOT but it's about to be hot enough to bake cookies on the hood of my car. (No serious ppl really do bake cookies in/on their cars)

TIP for Tat: Listen to your body!

I am behind - like way behind - on doing my random acts of kindness. (My July goal of the month). So far I have done... 1. & that was today. I complimented someone randomly. 25 more to go. I'm working on my list. A few things I want to do is send care packages for people in the military, leave money randomly in books, pay for someone's order in the drive thru, leave money in the vending machine, leave random notes on people cars, send thank you letters, volunteer, donate clothes. So I have ideas, I just haven't gotten the ball rolling. I am really excited to do the care packages because I've never done one before.

So my birthday is in two days and I'm very nonchalent about it.

It's my birthday month! Turn up!!!

The first half of the year is gone! Crazyness but this year going by quickly is only proving to me that I need to really get myself in order and really focus on my purpose in this life. I want to do amazing things and I will do amazing things! Here are my favorite things from last month!

Favorite Run.
I got closer to my 9:30 time this run.

Favorite Workout.
Any Livefit Trainer Workout. Love seeing my strength improve!

Favorite Eat.

Saturday, June 1, 2013

No eating after 8:30 will be hard.

The half way mark. We are almost at the half way mark. At the end of this month officially half of the year will be gone. Crazy speak I tell you. So with a new month comes a new goal(s) and new challenge(s). As some of you may know, I joined in on the Chobani challenge and made goals for the rest of my year.

My May goal was to get more organized and to run less, strength train more. Goals accomplished for the most part. I did not run at all last month and I have been strength training much more thanks to Livefit Trainer. As far as organization, I'm getting there. Slowly but surely trying to make a to do list for each day and complete it. It's hard work sticking to it but I am trying to dedicate myself to it more. So this goal will go over into June. My june goals was as follows:

April Favorites & Hello May.

It's scary how fast these months fly on by.
Wasn't it JUST March.
I always say that every month because it is scary how the days just disappear.
Here are some of my favorite things from April
besides the normal things like spending time with my loves!

Running in my 2nd 10K and placing 1st in my age group!

Trying a new type of workout. TRX!

Not weighing myself weekly. It was hard but neccessary. I'm in Scale rehab.

Better late than never. 8 months to go.

Chobani 10 for 10

remix.
8 for 8 !

It's something that definitely intrigued me.
I suck at sticking to goals that I make
and at 25 years of age, I need to do better
if I want better for my life in general.
So with that said I'm joining the Chobani challenge.
A little late in the game but hey it's better than not challenging myself.

May:  Get more organized && Run Less Strength Train more.
I need to start getting into the habit of organization.
I'm one of those, I need a schedule and to do list to actually get things done.
Without it, I'm all over the place.
I need to schedule out time to eat, sleep, poop (okay not really), workout, do homework, blog, read, write, and relax.
